On the 9th February 2012 I started running a blog on blogger that I called the Nyckelharpa Effect. It was lots of fun. I ramped up the number of entries and videos at the start of the first lockdown and started to seriously ask for donations. Back in January this year I decided that the time had come to put this vast resource behind a paywall. So for the last six months I’ve been gradually moving the site. It’s going to be a very long process and I don’t think I’m even half way moved over yet. But at some point I have to officially launch it! So I’ve decided that I want to bring that name over to my workshops. So as you’ve probably noticed this website is now titled The Nyckelharpa Effect. The nyckelharpa certainly has an effect on people!
So the time is nearly here – I’m still rebuilding things that were destroyed in the great website destruction. But I hope that in the the next week or two I’ll finally go for a big launch! Not that anything will happen, maybe I’ll make a big announcement that we hope to have Olov Johansson over from Sweden in September for the the Halsway Festival weekend. But that’s still a little under wraps – so I won’t announce that just yet! Maybe I’ll buy a little bottle of bubbly and smash it into the side of the table not the website or the computer – that would be bad!
